Georgia’s Statewide March to the Polls is a call to individuals, organizations, and community groups across our state to host an energy and momentum-building activity or event in your community to get our people to the polls!

Our goal: To address the lack of official marketing and empowerment around early voting in Georgia - a very real form of voter suppression. We need to help our folks know there are weeks (October 12-October 30) in which they can vote with minimal lines & plenty of time to get ballots in through the mail (now through Nov. 3). And we need to support and celebrate them in getting it done!

Organizing an event: Your event can be anytime between now and Election Day and can be virtual or in-person (COVID-conscious please!). Here are some great ideas from community organizers in Georgia:

  • A ballot-completion/drop-off party

  • A virtual gathering with speakers, music, or movie screening

  • A drive-in or drive-thru event with movies, music, food pickup, health check-ups.

  • An in-person march to the polls

Georgia's Statewide March to the Polls is coordinated by organizations working across Georgia specifically to amplify the voice of local community-led action. If you need any help with planning, materials, COVID-19 safety supplies, march marshaling, or anything else, please let us know.

Young People & People of Diverse Backgrounds - Poll Worker Recruitment (ongoing)

Historically many of our poll workers have been seniors - to help them stay home & stay COVID-safe while also keeping all options for voters we need to expand Georgia's pool of poll workers! CivicGeorgia organizers have taken on the call to serve as poll officials and poll watchers, please join us - click here to sign up to be a poll worker.

CivicGeorgia partners with the Georgia Youth Poll Worker Initiative & Power the Polls in this initiative. Poll worker opportunities is only one way to effect change, we also need folks to seek leadership roles at the county election offices!

We can't do this work without your help, so please consider supporting our work!
